     "Battered Woman Syndrome”

Designed for indoor public exhibition, the figure of a woman struggling to hold up  her

calm & serene  'every things fine, face' while the figure herself  shows deep cracks &

wounds, the arm supporting her is crumbling.

She is chained to herself, to her situation. On the base are the names of domestic violence

homicide victims, along with the dates of their

murders. Above the names is a plaque with the

name & contact information for the local

domestic violence shelter.  A beautiful and

moving work of Art, the sculpture has been used

to both honor the victims and to raise awareness

of the serious and deadly consequences of ignoring Domestic Violence issues, and to direct

victims to the agencies that can save lives.
